Our decision to align with CEOs for Gender Equity reflects our unwavering commitment to creating an environment where every individual has equal opportunities to grow, succeed, and contribute their best.
Insight's aspiration towards gender equality is centred on creating a workplace where all genders have equal opportunities, recognition, and rewards, fostering a collaborative and respectful environment where everyone can thrive. Our initial steps included conducting gender pay equity audits, enhancing parental leave policies, and providing training on unconscious bias to ensure fair and unbiased decision-making processes.
Since the inception of the Workplace Gender Equality Agency in 2012, Insight Australia has obtained compliance certification with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012, ensuring equitable salaries and promotion opportunities for women in Australia.
In our pursuit of gender equality, Insight is dedicated to activating the power of women in technology and advancing women in leadership roles. We have made significant strides in elevating women in leadership positions, with a notable representation of women in our executive leadership team.
Our initiatives include the Women With Insight peer-networking group, global training programs like Get Board Ready and Career Reboot, and partnerships with organisations such as Women In Cloud and Women in Technology Western Australia (WiTWA) to further female progress in IT. We are proud to see teammates from Insight be nominated in the WiTWA Awards, recognising their efforts not only within Insight but across the industry in Western Australia.
By investing and promoting programs such as Women Rising and Male Allies programs, Insight demonstrates its commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace culture that promotes gender fairness and equity. These initiatives serve as a catalyst for empowering women to advance in their careers and assume leadership roles within the organisation.
Through Women Rising, Insight provides targeted support and development opportunities for female employees, helping them overcome barriers and excel in their professional journeys. Additionally, the Male Allies program encourages male employees to actively support and advocate for gender equality, fostering a collaborative environment where both men and women work together to create a more inclusive and supportive workplace for all employees.
In addition to that, we are committed to supporting organisations such as Dress for Success and She Codes. As an organisation, we want to empower women to achieve economic independence and provide them with guidance to excel within STEM. In the U.S., our commitment to gender equality is further demonstrated through partnerships with industry organisations like the Women's Business Enterprise National Council and the National Minority Development Council, reinforcing our dedication to advancing diversity and inclusion in the IT industry globally.
Looking ahead, Insight is dedicated to driving gender equity through a multifaceted approach. We are going to be regularly reviewing and developing leadership development programs specifically designed for women, expanding diversity training initiatives, and implementing policies that support work-life balance and career progression for all employees.
