CEO Summit Recap: Addressing the Gender Pay Gap
CEOs for Gender Equity recently convened a CEO Summit on The Gender Pay Gap, featuring Mary Wooldridge, CEO of the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA), as the keynote speaker.
The summit provided a high-level forum for transparent discussion, shared learning, and practical reflection. CEOs had the opportunity to engage directly with Mary, addressing critical questions and gaining valuable insights into upcoming legislative changes and what they mean for employers.
Key outcomes from the discussion included:
A clear understanding of the upcoming WGEA reporting requirements and how to prepare
Guidance on how to communicate gender pay gap data effectively and purposefully
Practical strategies for embedding gender equity across organisational structures and leadership levels
Peer-led insights on addressing gaps and building accountability across teams
We extend our sincere thanks to James Pearson FAICD FAIM, CEO for Gender Equity and CEO of the City of Joondalup, for hosting the summit and sharing the impactful actions his organisation is taking to address identified gender equity challenges. We also thank his team for their generous support in making the event a success.
A special acknowledgment to Caitlin Collins MLA, who attended on behalf of the Deputy Premier, reinforcing the State Government’s ongoing commitment to advancing gender equity in Western Australia.
